How long can I carry my baby with the Qookie Go?

Basically, you can use the Qookie Go for as long as it's comfortable for both of you. It's perfect for short carrying sessions and "hop on, hop off" moments when little legs get tired. Because the weight is concentrated on one side, it's not designed for carrying for hours on end, but rather as a practical support when you're out and about and want to quickly carry your child on your hip. You can extend the carrying time by alternating between carrying on both sides.

Can you wash Qookie Go in the washing machine?

Yes! Wash at 30°C, spin on low speed. Ideally, wash your Qookie Go carrier in a pillowcase or laundry bag.

Why are you called Qookie?

The brand name Qookie originated from a reference to our younger daughter's nickname. When Anna founded Limas in 2015, the name was created from the initials of her eldest daughter, and we felt that the younger one sometimes felt a little disadvantaged because of it. Since we sometimes call our little one "Keks" (cookie) in everyday life, we decided to use this nickname as the basis for the brand name of our next company.

First baby and quickly realized that putting it down hardly works here. At the same time I had
I already have back pain from being carried so much in my arms. That's why I tried out around 20 different carriers during a babywearing consultation.
For me, none were as quick to put on and at the same time as comfortable as Qookie's. To that
I really like the simple design.

The Qookie is really very easy and intuitive to use.
The bridge for the baby can be adjusted very well and thanks to the various Velcro elements it is well secured and nothing slips. The back bar can also be easily adjusted using Velcro. The magnets hold great and the click mechanism to release the buckles definitely provides additional security.

All other stretchers before simply didn't fit and caused severe back pain.

How should I wear the waist belt?

For newborns, wear the belt high on the waist to provide good support in the squat-spread position. As you get older, you can lower the belt a little - the main thing is that you are upright and comfortable. A good guideline is the so-called head kiss height: your baby should sit high enough that you can easily give him a kiss on the head.

How secure do the magnetic buckles hold?

They are rock solid and cannot open on their own. The magnetic buckles work very similarly to traditional buckles. The magnets serve the sole purpose of quickly connecting the parts of the buckle and have no effect on the load capacity of the buckle itself. They hold together by a small mushroom head being enclosed and held in place by a counterpart. To open the buckle you have to press two buttons at the same time, like a normal buckle. This design ensures a reliable connection that has been tested for straight loads up to 160kg.

Is the Qookie VARIO ergonomic?

Yes, absolutely. It supports your baby's natural posture and distributes the weight evenly across the hips and shoulders - gentle on your back and healthy for your baby.

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Naturally! You have 30 days to test the carrier at your leisure. If it doesn't fit, you can return it in new condition - without any stress.

Can I carry my baby facing out?

Experts do not recommend carrying it with your face forward, as the natural squatting, spread position is lost. In this position, the legs and back are stretched, which can put strain on the still soft hip joints. There is also a lack of eye contact with mom or dad, which is important for safety and communication. We therefore recommend wearing it in front of the chest, on the back or on the hip - ergonomic, safe and close.

What does it mean when a baby carrier is ergonomic?

Ergonomic means that the carrier supports your baby's natural posture. Your baby sits in the squatting spread position - the legs are bent and the back is slightly rounded. In this way, the spine and hip joints are optimally relieved and supported. The bridge should always extend from the back of the knee to the back of the knee, and the head can be additionally stabilized with the headrest. The Qookie VARIO was developed by a babywearing consultant with 10+ years of experience and supports a healthy, hip-friendly posture.

Does the Qookie VARIO also fit me and my partner?

Yes! All Qookie carriers are “one-size-fits-all”. Thanks to the adjustable waist strap, it fits waist sizes from approx. 64 to 150 cm - ideal for short mums and tall dads alike. You can use them both without any complicated switching.

How do I wash the carrier correctly?

Close all buckles, machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C, ideal in a laundry bag. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron. Let it air dry and you're done.

Is the carrier too warm in summer?

The organic cotton is breathable and temperature-regulating. Light colors and airy clothing underneath are suitable for hot days.

How do I adjust the stretcher correctly?

The seat width and back length can be individually adjusted so that your baby always sits safely and ergonomically. In our video tutorials we show you step by step how to optimally adjust the VARIO. Please take a look at Menu > Instructions.

Can I use the stretcher after a cesarean section?

Yes! The waist belt can be worn above the scar - usually on the waist. This keeps the scar free of pressure. Since every healing process is individual, please talk to your midwife or gynecologist beforehand about when wearing it is comfortable for you.

What material is the stretcher made of?

Made from 100% organic cotton - soft, breathable and skin-friendly. The fabrics are woven and sewn fairly in Turkey.

The Qookie VARIO is suitable from 3 kg and grows up to approx. 15 kg/size 92. The back section can be infinitely adjusted in width and height. All settings are cleverly hidden in the waist strap to keep the design clean and minimalist. The softly padded neck support provides additional support and security, especially for newborns.

Can I use the Qookie Vario from birth?

Yes, you can use the Qookie Vario from birth as long as your baby weighs at least 3.5kg or is around size 56. The stretcher covers a weight range of 3.5kg to 15kg or sizes 62 to 104. Thanks to the continuously adjustable bridge width and backrest height (via Velcro in the waist strap), it can be optimally adjusted and enables the correct squatting, spread posture. You will find the correct setting for small babies explained in detail in the instructions.
